Frequently asked Questions

Q: I do not see any pictures. What can I do?

A: Some web sites do not show the pictures if your browser does not submit certain details, i.g. a referrer code for the site you are coming from. Submission is blocked by software like Norton Internet Security or some firewalls. Adjust the settings of your firewall (refer to the help manual of your s/w) to allow submission of referrers or disable your Internet security tool while surfing that web site.
Above applies also to our links list which you can see only if your browser sends a referrer.

Q: I have a problem with Videos. When I click on a link for a Video nothing happens. The video does not show, I see only some garbled text or a page with ads, or a page opens without the announced video. What to do?

A:

IE or IE compatible browser users should right click on the link and select 'save target as' or any other menu point that allows you to save the file.

Mac user have to go through a similar routine. Please refer to your browser's manual.

Q: My Pass is not working for the Members Area. I cannot log in.

A:

Username and password are case sensitive. Punch in your password exactly in lower and uper cases. If you use the copy 'n paste method make sure you do not copy any empty spaces. Spaces will change the password and it won't work.
If you still cannot log in contact us and provide the following information: Email address you used when signing up, subscription ID and username. Do NOT send us your password!

Q: I forgot my Password for the Links Club. How can I retrieve it?

A: Go to http://www.asiangaystars.net/ccbill/index.htm and click on the 'I forgot My Password' button.

Q: How do I download from 'RapidShare'?

A:

When the page opens scroll down to the table with 3 colums. The last field in the third column titled free holds a button with the inscription 'FREE'. Click on that button. On the next page scroll down and you will see a counter counting down. When it reaches 0 you'll see a three letter/number code in different colors. Type the code into the field and click on the button next to it. The Download will start. RapidShare allows only one download in one hour. Restart your Internet conenction with a fresh IP, if you can , to download the next file.

1.) AOL Yahoo! Group members must not try to access any of the URLs through AOL software 'internal' web browser!
*Always* load in Desktop / Start Menu MSIE web browser. The reason for this is AOL assigns (shares) a limited # of IP addresses with its members & RapidShare restricts FREE downloads to a limited amount of data per hour. RapidShare will frequently report back that you can not download files at this time because an IP # has already maxed out. Use the computer's IE browser to avoid this.

2.) Load any URL in IE, scroll to bottom of 1st page & select the FREE button. Scroll to bottom of next page & wait "X" # of seconds for the download 'ticket'. Once you are allowed to download the file, 3 characters will be displayed. Enter them in window shown & get file.

Some of the terminology you may encounter:

"Removed" can mean one of three things is true:
1.) the OP (original poster) activated their 'kill' link by mistake or on purpose.
2.) the file[s] in question have not had at least 1 download in last 30 days.
3.) Studio or individual owning copyright, objected & RapidShare deleted it.

"Renamed" means the file is still there, but due to original name, the file had to be renamed on RapidShare's end due to restrictions on the way web servers work (certain characters can cause actions on servers that are incompatible with normal server function).

"Unavailable" means one of three things (usually):
1.) The RapidShare server is experiencing abnormally high traffic & available bandwidth is being allocated to 'Premium' downloaders only (extremely rare).

2.) The file in question is "sequestered" (under review) due to a challenge by studio or individual as to true ownership (and decision has yet to be made).

3.) You have exceeded available bandwidth/time limit ratio for free downloads. Bear in mind, RapidShare only allows a single FREE download at one time of a finite amount of data. Once you exceed the free allotment, a time restriction (usually 65 to 85 minutes) goes into place where you are unable to download more files (for FREE) until the indicated time has passed.

In addition & lastly, it is important to keep in mind, that trying to download any of these files through an AOL account (internal AOL IE browser) or utilizing a "speed optimizer" program will get you blocked every time. ALWAYS, try to use a desktop or start menu IE window & if you are running any "accelerator" or "file grabbing" program to disable it *before* loading RapidShare URLs.

That's all you need to know to get ALL files!
Bear in mind that if you exceed a certain amount of data in a given time period, RapidShare will tell you that you have to wait "X" # of minutes to get the next file (for FREE). You also always have the option of paying for a *premium* RapidShare account with no 1 file at a time or hourly limit.

NOTE: If any URLs appear 'broken' (on more than one line)
fix them in Notepad or other text editor prior to loading.

Q: How do I view files with the ending 001, 002, 003 etc.?

A:

You just need to have the correct codec's installed.  Have you installed the latest k-lite codec pack?  If not then go to http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm and download the k-lite codec pack full and then install.

Things should play in windows media player, media player classic (installed when the codec pack is installed) etc.  You do have to save all the files to one folder and then join them with a program like Hjsplit.   http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/   Hjsplit does not install but is a stand-alone utility.

Run hjsplit.exe, choose join, browse to the folder with the split files and then join them.

Hjsplit will see the .001 file and then do the rest for you.

Q: I cannot view my downloaded Videos, what to do?
